Today’s modern style of life spoils not only the earth’s common citizens but also people who pretend to be Christ’s followers. An increase in wealth and reputation amongst peers is often their only goal. This tragic fact causes us to forget that we are merely travellers on this beautiful planet, and we are going to meet our Maker face to face at the end of our journey. He is going to remind us that all our earthly accomplishments are “vanity of vanities.”

This novel is a modern version of the traditional near-death journey. In transporting its reader from a realm of actual and logical existence to an out-of-the-ordinary realm, this novel accesses an alternative plane of thought and event, finding new narrative intensity in operating within the mind of a single character.
About the Author
As a writer of short stories and poetry from a young age, Sendrea decided during the 1980s to put into novel form the story of her experiences with an old Romanian woman's struggles against poverty and circumstance. Now, she spends most of her time hiding in her studio or office, in Windsor, Ontario, creating and exploring the mysteries and successive steps that lead the eyes through uniformity in art, while working on her next novel.
